Pursuant to the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991 (Clause 5 & 7) the Matamata-Piako District Council has publicly notified the following proposed changes to the Operative Matamata-Piako District Plan for consultation.
The proposed changes and summary of submissions and further submissions received are available for downloading in PDF format below:
Proposed Plan Change 12Proposed Plan Change 12 relates to amending parts of the subdivision rules to accommodate further infill subdivision (350m² lots) in the main towns.
Proposed Plan Change 15Proposed Plan Change 15 alters the current Kaitiaki (Conservation) Zone boundary along the Kaimai-Mamaku Ranges with a proposed amendment to the Rural Zoning.

Proposed Plan Change 24Proposed Plan Change 24 proposes to integrate the Development Manual, including urban design measures with the District Plan. Council has prepared a summary of submissions. Further submissions closed on 23 July, 2009.
Proposed Plan Change 31 - Precinct FProposed Plan Change 31 – Precinct F looks to rezone land that bounds Firth Street/Hinuera Road through to Station Road on the western side of Matamata. The proposed rezoning is from rural-residential to residential, rural to rural-residential and rural to residential. It is also proposed to introduce a structure plan for the area. Council has prepared a summary of submissions. A hearing for Proposed Plan Change 31 was held on 2 December.
Proposed Plan Change 33The Local and General Election Signage Review seeks to align the temporary sign rules for General and Local Elections in the Matamata-Piako District Plan with the Electoral Act 1993 and the Electoral (Advertisements of a Specified Kind) Regulations 2005. Submission on this Proposed Plan Change close at 5.00pm 17 MArch 2010
