Te Aroha Domain

The Te Aroha Domain is packed with things to do for the whole family.

12.1 General

Activities on the surface of water shall comply with the following:

All permitted activities in Activity Table 12.2 shall comply with the Development Controls (Section 3), Activity Related Standards (Section 4) and Performance Standards (Section 5) of the Plan.
Motorised vessels are not to exceed speeds of five knots (9 kph) within five metres of a riverbank for all tributaries of the Waihou River.
All discretionary activities in Activity Table 12.2 will be assessed in accordance with Section 1, General Provisions.
Any work shall be undertaken in a manner which avoids remedies or mitigates deposition of construction material on the surface of the water.

Advice Note: Resource consents for activities which involve the bed of a river may also require a resource consent from the Waikato Regional Council.
