Proposed temporary road closure Kereone Road - railway level crossing

Matamata-Piako District Council proposes to close the following road to ordinary traffic for the period stated below so Kiwirail can upgrade the level crossing.

Road to be closed
Kereone Road level crossing (east of the
Morrinsville-Walton Rd – Kereone Rd intersection) Detour will be via Bolton Rd-Morrinsville-Walton Rd.

Date and time of closure
6am – 7pm Saturday 15 June 2013

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965 any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds in writing, to Mike van Grootel, to reach the Matamata-Piako District Council Office at PO Box 266, Te Aroha, no later than midday on Wednesday 22 May 2013.

This notice is made in accordance with the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974.
