The Piako Triathlon is a great low cost way to start your children or yourself in triathlon. The junior event has limited numbers, a pool swim and a bike ride through a recreation reserve. Suggested age ranges overlap to allow for different abilities and experience but you must be sure that your child is capable of completing the distance - particularly the swim . For adults there is a timed 300m swim, 9km road bike and 3km run .We are staging the starts so you can watch your children, then they can cheer you on and enjoy the post event fun.
