Council’s Building Control team are responsible for issuing building consents and monitoring their compliance. They can help you with a range of building needs including:

• PIMs (Project Information Memorandum)
• Building inspections
• Building warrants of fitness
• Code of compliance certificates

Note that you cannot start any building work until a building consent has been issued. You can get building consent application forms and other helpful information here on the website, or pick up a copy from your closest area office.
