4. Cemeteries


4.2 Burial Warrants

 

4.2.1

No burial shall be made in any cemetery without a burial warrant for that purpose, obtained by the funeral director or person having the management or control of the burial from the Council and presented to the Cemetery Manager as authority for burial.

 

4.2.2

The application for a burial warrant shall be delivered to the Council at least nine working hours before the burial. Provided that where a funeral is to be held on a weekend or public holiday an application for a burial warrant shall be delivered to the Council no later than twelve working hours preceding the date of the intended burial. Any exceptions to this must be Approved by the Authorised Officer.
