5.5 Representation on other Committees
From time to time Council appoints representatives to other Committees. Some appointments are required by statue, others are made because Council considers it appropriate to do so.
These include the:
- Waikato Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Joint Committee - Mayor Jan Barnes appointed as representative and Councillor Brian Hunter as the alternate.
- Thames Valley Civil Defence Emergency Management Group - Mayor Jan Barnes appointed as representative and Councillor Brian Hunter as alternate
- Regional Land Transport Committee - Mayor Jan Barnes appointed as representative and Deputy Mayor James Thomas as alternate.
- Regional Triennial Agreement Forum - Mayor Jan Barnes appointed as representative and Deputy Mayor James Thomas as alternate.
- Hauraki Gulf Forum - Councillor Paul Cronin appointed as representative.
- Local Government New Zealand: Zone 2 - Mayor Jan Barnes appointed as representative and Councillor James Thomas as alternate. All Councillors are invited as attendees.
- Waikato Plan Joint Committee - Mayor Jan Barnes, Cr Adrienne Wilcock (alternate member).
- Waihou-Piako Catchment Sub-committee - Cr Donna Arnold.
- Hauraki Rail Trail Charitable Trust - Shaun O’Neil appointed as Council Trustee.
