Hello,
the Community Boards must be reinstated ! A second layer of representation is always democratically needed. Community Boards are closer to the public and less formal. They should never have been abandoned!
The existing remuneration for the mayor and councillors must be used to pay for the the new Maori ward, i.e. the mayor's pay must be shortened too.
Te Aroha's three councillors should stay, and the rest of the councillors as well.
