The increases planned are immoral. Perhaps you should be speaking to your contractors and asking them to justify their charges. No wage or salary earner gets anywhere near that sort of increase and to expect your average ratepayer to pay all that extra amount on top of the current rise in cost of living is unacceptable. Manufacturers are responsible for packaging of goods and we see more and more plastic there. If they use it to pack their goods they should be responsible for disposing of said plastic.
