Waitangi Day Whānau Picnic and Movie Night

Join us for an evening of free entertainment to commemorate Waitangi Day 2022.

Where: Te Aroha Domain

When: Friday, 4 February from 5.30pm

Featuring food stalls, entertainment and family-friendly activities from 5.30pm, and a free open air, New Zealand movie 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople' from approximately 7.30pm (note movie start time is dependant on sunlight)

BYO chair/picnic blanket/bean bags. BYO food also welcome.

Please note that due to the current government regulations, My Vaccine Pass is required for entry for everyone 12 years, 3 months and older. Face coverings strongly recommended.

This is a smoke, vape and alcohol free event - bought to you by Te Manawhenua Forum mō Matamata-Piako, Te Kaunihera ā-rohe o Matamata-Piako (Matamata-Piako District Council), and Manatū Taonga (Ministry of Culture & Heritage)

 

Stallholders - Register your interest

If you are business, individual or community group interested in providing food, entertainment or family-friendly activities, please register your interest to attend this event. There is no cost for stall holders, however, stalls will be limited to one per type (for example, one ice cream vendor, one facepainter etc).
