Full description of idea:

Council should take on board the SoLoMo (the combination of social, local and mobile platforms in a single system) App that is already proven, available and implemented in our region to assist locals to market our district as a WHOLE - we are STRONGER & TOUGHER together MPD!

Council should focus on 3 things in the next 10 years:
1. Grow local tourism to our district, after all, we have HILLS to climb, a HERD of cows to track, crystal clear thermal HOT-POOLS to relax in, HEALING HONEY to eat and Hobbiton TM to visit.
2. Get young families to move to our district and "onboard" them, our district is affordable and we have good services available.
3. Provide convenience to current locals for community and other events and provide feedback and opportunity to residents for new business opportunities.

People are after convenience and this app reduce the distance between the user and our district. Significant decisions could be made by Council with regards to categorical proportion of types of businesses to identify possible new business type growth areas.

How this idea will benefit the community:

We already have an app called My Kiwi Town MPD and council should take up this offer to work with us. It is build on the latest technology and sleek and easy to use. We are taking every opportunity to reach out to Mayor Ash to work
together.
