Full description of idea:

Place facilities activities in central locations I.e. extend the children’s playground at the domain to have more exciting activities as it is central to all and visible to visitors. Consider an alternative to the basketball hoop placed at the college, maybe place at the green so it is central and visible along with a pétanque court, space that is currently taken up by some very grubby statues, get the owners to remove these or clean them up and place throughout the town leaving this space for something else. Money allocated to the new stadium could be better spent adding more to Headon for all sorts of different indoor activities as suggested by others. A decent stage and facilities at the memorial centre to get good acts to town so we don’t send these people to Putaruru, if Putaruru can have a great theatre space to host events why can’t we?

How this idea will benefit the community:

Keep the community active with great activities and space to do things here rather than having to go out of town and have additional things to do for our visitors to keep them here for longer hence spending money in our town.
