6.2. Council Division Structure
The Council is managed by the CEO and organised in to three divisions, these are Community and Support Services, Infrastructure and Environmental Services. The responsibilities of the CEO and the three divisions are listed below.
The CEO is responsible for:
- Human Resources;
- Communications;
- Corporate Strategy and Legal Services;
- the Business Support, Service Delivery and Community Development Group Managers.
Business Support:
Headed by the Business Support Group Manager who is responsible for:
- Finance and Banking Services;
- Information Technology;
- Information (Records and Land);
- Asset Strategy and Policy;
- Facilities Operations:
- Sports Centres, Pools and Spas;
- the Firth Tower;
- the Te Aroha Information Centre;
- Waharoa Aerodrome.
Community Development:
Headed by the Community Development Group Manager who is responsible for:
- Licensing and enforcement;
- Libraries;
- Health and Safety;
- Quality assurance;
- District Planning;
- Building Control;
- Animal Control;
- Civil Defence.
Service Delivery:
Headed by the Service Delivery Group Manager who is responsible for:
- Customer Services;
- Kaimai Valley Services
- Reticulation;
- Works;
- Water;
- Wastewater;
- Parks and Reserves;
- Kaimai Consultants:
- Property Maintenance;
- Parks and Reserves Contracts;
- Waste Management;
- Engineering (Roading, Resource Concents, Utilities, Contracts);
- Contract management and procurement services.
