Scottish Country Dancing at Hinuera
Saturday 05 April 2014, 06:00pm - 08:00pm
Contact Inge, 07 888 1658

Our group was established in 2011, we started off, only catering for children; but decided it is time to involve adults as well now.

We offer quality and affordable introduction to music and dance, with a fully trained and experienced dance teacher, that the children truly admire, and the adults will love as well.

Scottish Country Dancing is a type of Folk Dancing, which has its roots in the Renaissance. Therefore there is no need to be Scottish, and the dance is established all over the world.

The dancing is very social, it is all about having fun.

Scottish Country Dancing is not to be confused with Scottish Highland dancing, which today is mainly being danced in competitions and displays.

Location Hinuera Hall (next to the railway crossing in Hinuera)
All ages, from 7 years up.
$3 per session per person. First class is free.
Please wear soft flat shoes
