Arohanui Film Festival

The second time the event will showcase brand new entertaining, original and adventurous independent films from around the world on the big screen at Future Te Aroha. The event brings together film enthusiasts for a weekend of screenings, discussions and introductions, including premieres classified for the event.

Arohanui Film Festival includes Q&A sessions with local film makers and workshops in a social non-competitive environment. Film programming prioritises new films that have not been released before in NZ. Founded by prolific artist and teacher Lynne Renwick, who received the 2009 Queens Service Medal (QSM) for her service to theatre and youth in South Auckland. The Future Te Aroha cinema a former bra factory that has been converted to a multi purpose non-profit facility for community and cultural use.
