Full description of idea:

Work towards creating an attractive, traffic free shopping zone in Morrinsville's Thames St, from Lorne St to Canada St. This would involve additional parking areas with good access to the shopping precinct, including proper pedestrian crossings and also designated accessibility parking. Our market days could then be held in the same area.

How this idea will benefit the community:

Such an area would attract visitors from outside the area. Morrinsville already has great shopping and cafes but people are put off because it doesn't appear pedestrian friendly or attractive.
