Lodging a building consent application
All building consent applications with Matamata-Piako District Council are lodged and processed using the Alpha One cloud platform. Before applying online for a consent for the first time, you will need to create an account in Alpha One by providing your name, email address and choosing a secure password. If you would like help getting started using Alpha One you can come into the Council office for assistance, or if you prefer, watch the Alpha One video tutorials that guide you through the steps.
Alpha One has the application form and checklist built-in so the Build Waikato application forms and checklists are not required for applying for building consents. Building consent applications received before 1 July 2020 are being processed in our legacy system.
You cannot start any building work until a building consent has been issued.
