Operators seeking to obtain new venue consent for hosting gaming machines, request an increase in the number of machines, or apply for a new TAB venue consent must submit an application to the Council via the online portal​

Applicants are required to consult with affected parties—including community and educational facilities and places of assembly—within 250 metres of the proposed venue and obtain written approvals. A printable consultation form is available here. These should be included in your online application.​

​Once Council consent is granted, applicants must proceed to apply to the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) for a Class 4 operator’s licence. More details on this process are available here.​
