Howarth Memorial Wetlands
The Howarth Memorial Wetland walk is a one hour loop walk through a lovely wildlife refuge. This walk is mostly flat, and accessible from several areas making it ideal for morning or evening walks. It is a pleasant walk for all ages and fitness levels. The track includes a boardwalk leading to a bird watching hut with great views of the wetland.
Access to wetlands is from Spur St (by the sports clubrooms at Boyd Park), from the end of Ritchie St, from Terminus St (across the historic railway bridge), or across the boardwalk from Skidmore Reserve (off Kenrick St). You can also access the wetlands by following the path around the northern end of Boyd Park.
