Hi has the town planner investigated the idea of closing Whitaker street from the town clock to Te Aroha motels and constructing a pedestrian mall only A majority of the businesses have back entrances Hastings city is a prime example . Is this particular length of street administered by the State highway board cheers

How this idea will benefit the community:

More foot traffic relaxed area for people to indulge in food shops less pollution from vehicles user friendly all round cheers
