Please note that our permission/approval is only applicable for flying drones or UAVs over land managed by the council. For any private land, it is the responsibility of the drone operator to seek permission from the landowner or person in charge of that area.

This application form is not automated. Staff will require time to process your request.

For any recreational drone flying over parks and reserves, please apply at least two working days before your planned flying date.

For any parks located within 4 km of the aerodrome, please apply at least five working days in advance, as we need to liaise with other staff and aerodrome users.

Council is not obligated to approve your application to fly a drone.
