Te Aroha Rotary successfully secured Council's Pride of Place Community Community-Led Initiatives grant to deliver the "Whitaker Street Pot Plant Project". Rotary received of $1,500 of funding to purchase elegant acacia wood pots and a selection of durable shrubs and annuals to enhance the main street’s aesthetic appeal
MPDC provided grant funding, project management and helped with the project delivery on the day
The project has been met with enthusiastic support from the community, who are thrilled with the vibrant new addition to their main street. The positive feedback underscores the project's success in beautifying the area and encouraging local pride.
Rotary have delivered this project as a trial, and if it is favourable with the wider community they hope to expand it to the other side of Whitaker Street.
