The costs just seem a bit of a joke - we are still paying for bags and yet the costs are increasing. We already can recyle less than Hamilton does. It would be great to see an alternative option to having to pay for bags (which already increased last year), as well as an increase in rates. We stopped buying bags last year, as a fmaily we used two bags a week and it worked out cheaper for us to pay for a private service. It also meant we could use less plastic as stuff can just go straight into the wheelie bin rather than inside another bag.
