We need to start rethinking what waste is. Instead of it being considered as garbage we need to see it as a resource. The food waste is a classic example as landfill it is garbage full of toxic leachate and emits methane into the atmosphere. But when it is composted it becomes a resource. Now we have a fertiliser company or two in our district. Surely there must be some sort of arrangement to be made here where our garbage food waste can be processed and become a salable commodity.
