Dog Registration and Stock Call Out Fees 2023/24
Council has set the following dog control fees for the 2023/2024 registration year.
- Full Registration Fee..................................$120
- Replacement Tag.......................................$2
The following rebates where applicable, can be deducted from the registration fee:
- Responsible Owner’s Rebate.......................$15
- De-sexed or working, or Dogs NZ Rebate......$30
- No Complaints Rebate...............................$35
Payment after 31 July 2023 will result in a 50% penalty fee.
You may also be issued with a $300 infringement fine for keeping an unregistered dog.
Dog Impounding Fees:
- First Impounding.......................................$50
- Second Impounding (per rego. year)............$80
- Third and subsequent impounding (per rego. year) ..............................................................$125
- Daily sustenance......................................$12.50
- Microchipping..........................................$60
Stock Call Out Fees:
- During Office Hours...................................$125
- After Hours (per call out incl. of mileage).....$175
- Impounding Fee (per head)........................$50
- Daily Sustenance (per head).......................$6
- All associated costs (i.e. transport, advertising) ......................................charged at actual cost.
All the above fees are inclusive of 15% Goods and Services Tax.
