Great work Matamata-Piako! Everyone seems to be doing an awesome job with new days and getting the right bins out. Here are a few reminders to help things run smoothly.

• There will be no changes to kerbside pick up days over the Christmas or New Year holidays.
• Please do not use liners in your food scraps bin, freezing food scraps or adding a small amount of water in the bottom can help manage mess.
• Squishing rubbish too tightly into your rubbish bins can cause bins to not empty entirely when the truck tips them upside down.
• All wheelie bins need to be facing the road and at least 30cm apart so that the truck arms can pick them up without damage.
• If you share a kerbside pick up area with others, glass and food scrap bins can be placed together as they are emptied by hand and this will speed up collections for contractors.
