Plan Change 61
We are notifying this Plan Change at the end of the month for your feedback.
We’re changing the format and some of the content of our District Plan to line up with the Ministry for the Environment, National Planning Standards. The Standards aim to make council plans and policy statements easier to use and understand. There are also some other proposed amendments that will help to make our District Plan more effective.
Some of the key proposed changes to the District Plan relate to zoning of reserves, information around consulting with mana whenua, increasing residential living opportunities in town centres, replacing 'dependant person dwellings' with 'minor residential units', increasing the space between the boundary and some buildings where animals are kept in the general rural and rural lifestyle zones, rezoning portions of our town centres and other proposed changes.
