Driving to the finish line

Driveway small

Our contractors J Swap have been making quick work of the new driveway for Open Country Community Stadium, which is on track to open early next year.

Recent work has included kerbing, drainage, and base preparation for the accessway, creating a welcoming entrance to the stadium.

Demolition also started on the first of the two older gyms at Matamata College, to clear the way for a new carpark that will serve the stadium and improve access for everyone using the facility.

The new carpark will have 94 on-site spaces, including accessible and short-stay options. The second gym will be removed once the college has finished using it for the year.

The Open Country Community Stadium will replace the old gyms at the college and become a hub designed to benefit the whole Matamata-Piako community.

This project is part of a bigger vision to create a modern, multi-use facility that supports sports and recreation in the area.
