Power Farming Holdings Limited is a privately owned group of companies who have a three-generation history of serving the New Zealand and Australian tractor and machinery markets.
Founded in Morrinsville in 1946, and still headquartered there today, Power Farming imports and distributes a range of world leading tractor and agricultural machinery products through a network of approximately 300 Australasian dealers.
Collectively, the company’s various trading operations generate an annual turnover of approximately $350 million and employ around 380 people. The various markets are served from strategically located distribution hubs, one of which is located along with the head office in Morrinsville. Power Farming has doubled its turnover in the past four years.
“We have found it very easy to do business in Matamata-Piako. The District Council is very willing to engage and work with us where needed. An example of this is the support from the Council to get ultra-fast broadband rolled out in our area. Council recognised the significance of the project for both Power Farming and Morrinsville early on and resourced it adequately with people who worked well alongside business. Our staff believe Matamata-Piako is hard to beat as a lifestyle location with its unique rural setting and prime location and near a major metropolitan centre (Hamilton)”. Bruce Nixon, Chief Executive
