Matamata-Piako District Council and Sport Waikato support the provision of sport, recreation and physical activity opportunities for the community of the Matamata-Piako District. Both organisations recognize a need to deliver a coordinated, collaborative and clear plan to lead, enable and guide this provision. The Matamata-Piako District Sports Facilities and Development Plan 2018-28 provides direction and priorities for both organisations' work and investment in our District.
