Temporary road closures
Bossons Road, Te Aroha
Due to heavy rain, water supply works that were going to take place on the berm now require a one way closure of Bossons Road in Te Aroha. While this closure is in place you will not be able to enter Bossons Road from Grattan Road, but it is still accessible from the Gordon Ave end. The one way closure may last until 8 August when the works are scheduled to finish, however if the ground dries out the works may be able to move back to the berm.
Te Tuhi Road, Okauia
We will close the following road to ordinary traffic for the period stated below so Thames Valley Car Club can conduct a rallysprint event. Road to be closed:
- Te Tuhi Rd – from the intersection with Old Te Aroha Road to the top of Te Tuhi Rd

Roadworks
Emergency works at Hinuera - temporary diversion for eastbound traffic on SH29 - Friday 1 August, 2025
Eastbound traffic on SH29 (Hinuera) is currently being detoured via Hopkins Rd – Puketutu Rd – SH27 due to urgent pothole repairs.
Work is expected to finish by midday today, and the detour will end once it's done.
Allen Street and Allendale Place, Morrinsville
We will be working on the water supply along Allen Street, Morrinsville (between Strathmore Street and Allendale Place) for a 5 week period from Wednesday 16 July to Friday 22 August. Most construction will take place on the berm, and this could restrict use of the footpaths/parking areas at times. We will ensure there is a safe passage for pedestrians and vehicles at times.
There will be disruption to normal traffic and our staff will be working in close proximity to the road. Please take care if you are exiting your driveway.
Rubbish collection will not be affected, please continue to put your bins out and our staff will ensure it is collected on the appropriate days.
We apologise for this disruption and understand that there may be concerns, if you have any queries regarding this notice, please do not hesitate to contact the number below:
