From 15 May 2025, Thompson's Track will be closed to all vehicles. This is for the safety of users and to minimise environmental impact over the winter months. The track will reopen to vehicles in late October or early November this year depending on conditions. Throughout the closure, the track will remain available for those not using vehicles, like pedestrians.
11 June 2025 Horseman's Track - Due to a fallen tree, Horseman's Track is currently closed until it can be safely removed. Signage is in place, and we kindly ask that you avoid the area. We will update this message once the track has reopend.

Explanation
The rules minimise restrictions on private recreational activities, as the waterways currently have a important role as a recreational resource. The sensitive nature of the water environment has lead to rules which seek to minimise the adverse effects on the natural character and landscape values of the river environment.
